Our Commitment

TechWilla is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features across TechWilla:

Structure and Semantics

  • Semantic HTML: All pages use proper semantic elements (header, nav, main, footer, section, article) to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies.
  • Heading Hierarchy: Content follows a logical heading structure (h1 through h6) to support screen reader navigation.
  • Landmark Roles: ARIA landmark roles are used where appropriate to help users navigate page regions.
  • Language Attribute: The page language is declared in the HTML element to support screen readers.

Navigation and Interaction

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form controls) are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape keys.
  • Skip Navigation Link: A "Skip to main content" link is provided to bypass repetitive navigation for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements to help keyboard users track their position on the page.
  • Mobile Navigation: The mobile menu toggle is accessible and includes appropriate ARIA labels.

Visual Design

  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG AA requirements.
  • Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • No Color Dependency: Information is not conveyed by color alone. Visual indicators such as icons, text labels, and patterns are used alongside color.

Images and Media

  • Alt Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes to be ignored by assistive technologies.
  • SVG Accessibility: SVG icons include appropriate ARIA attributes or are marked as decorative.

Code Examples

  • Code Blocks: Tutorial code examples use the <code> and <pre> elements for proper semantic markup.
  • Monospace Fonts: Code is displayed in JetBrains Mono, a font designed for readability in code contexts.
  • Copy Functionality: Code copy buttons include accessible labels for screen reader users.

Cookie Consent

Our cookie consent banner is keyboard accessible and uses standard form controls (checkboxes and buttons) that work with assistive technologies. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie Settings" button available on every page.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Some older tutorial content may have inline styles that could affect screen reader interpretation. We are progressively updating these.
  • Third-party content (such as embedded ads served by Google AdSense) is outside our direct control, though we encourage our partners to follow accessibility best practices.
  • Some complex network diagrams or architecture illustrations may not have fully descriptive alt text. We are working to improve these descriptions.

Testing and Evaluation

We regularly test our website for accessibility using:

  • Automated testing tools (axe, Lighthouse, WAVE)
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing
  • Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • Browser zoom and text-only zoom testing
  • Color contrast analysis tools

Accessibility audits are performed when new features are added and periodically across the entire site. We are committed to ongoing improvement based on user feedback and evolving best practices.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of TechWilla. If you encounter accessibility barriers, have difficulty accessing any content, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

When reporting an accessibility issue, please include the following information if possible:

  • The URL of the page where you experienced the issue
  • A description of the problem you encountered
  • The assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
  • Your browser and operating system

We will make every effort to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve reported issues as quickly as possible.

Conformance Status

TechWilla is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, primarily in areas involving third-party content. We are actively working toward full conformance.
